  • Spread out over 13 acres, Millie Bush Bark Park snags one of Houston Top 10 dog park top spots. The park has double-gated fencing, separate large and small dog areas, swimming ponds, dog showers, water fountains, shaded areas, benches, trees and a walking path. Picnic benches and restrooms are located just outside the park.

Bear Creek Park War Memorial  (North Eldridge Parkway and Bear Creek Park)

This War Memorial honors Harris County residents who died in service from WWI to present.  It is located near ball fields, playground and restrooms.

Dick Scobee Field  (George Bush Park, on Westheimer, west of Barker Cypress Rd)

Licensed pilots maneuver their model airplanes, showing their great skill and agility. While only the licensed pilots can enter the enclosed area, guests and visitors are welcome to sit on the benches nearby to watch these planes in action.  There are also picnic tables, restrooms nearby and plenty of shade trees.

Zube Park and Garden Railroad  (17400 Roberts Road @ Little Cypress Creek)
Visit their website: www.hals.org/timetable.html  for days and times that the trains will be running. They usually run the 3rd  Saturday of each month from March through November, 9 am to 1 pm.  Rain cancels the runs.

Old McDonald Farm  (3203 Fm 1960 East, Humble)

Dewberry Farm   (FM 362 and Morrison Road, Brookshire, TX)
Great fun for the entire family with their 16-acre pumpkin patch, 8-acre corn maze, wagon rides, Fort DewHickey, Little Farmersville, Golden Goat Bridge, and so much more. In November, families can cut their own Christmas tree. Visit their website:  www.dewberryfarms.com
